Chile experienced a slow, cool 2013 growing season. For Chile, it will be kept in mind as one of the coolest vintages in the previous decade. These conditions produced sophisticated, aromatic wines, with wine makers most passionate about their late-ripening reds, including Syrah. Long hang time and an uncommon rainy duration in December produced higher yields than typical and led to wines with fresh level of acidity and well balanced tannins.
